# Dalloway Precision Engineering Ltd

> A direct-factory CNC machine shop in Lye, West Midlands, UK, established 2005. We machine
> precision components in-house — 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling and CNC turning — from single
> prototypes to high-volume production, and deliver across the UK and Europe. No trading
> company in the middle: engineers speak to the people who machine the part.

## What we do in-house
- **3, 4 & 5-axis CNC milling** — simultaneous 5-axis machining of complex geometries, deep cavities and contoured surfaces in a single setup.
- **CNC turning** — chucked and bar-fed components to Ø481mm, with Y-axis live tooling for complete turned-and-milled parts in one operation.
- **Rapid prototyping & DFM** — CAD-to-part at speed on production-grade machines, with a complimentary DFM review on every enquiry. No minimum order; single prototypes welcome.

## Services we provide alongside machining
These are co-ordinated by us and delivered with your parts:
- **Surface treatments** — anodising (Type II & III), passivation, electropolishing, powder coating, zinc plating, nickel plating, PVD coating, heat treatment.
- **Dimensional inspection** — CMM inspection to ISO 2768-f / IT6, Mitutoyo and Starrett calibrated gauging.

## Precision and certification
- Standard tolerance: **ISO 2768-f**, ±0.010mm standard precision; tighter to drawing where specified.
- **Material Test Reports (MTRs)** and **Certificates of Conformance (CoC)** issued with every order as standard, with full material traceability.
- Sector standards we work with an awareness of: **MIL-DTL-5541F** (aerospace chromate conversion), **ASTM A967** (passivation), **NACE MR0175** (sour service). These are stated as awareness, not as certifications.

## Materials
Over 100 grades held or sourced, including aluminium alloys, stainless steels (incl. 316L),
carbon and tool steels, titanium (incl. Grade 23 / ISO 5832-3), brass, copper and bronze,
nickel and duplex alloys, superalloys, and engineering plastics.

- **Aerospace & aviation** — aluminium and titanium components; chromate conversion and hard anodise provided.
- **Medical & scientific** — 316L and titanium Grade 23 for surgical instruments and implantable devices; electropolished to Ra ≤0.4µm.
- **Motorsport & automotive** — stainless and aluminium for OEM Tier-1 suppliers, luxury vehicle manufacturers and motorsport teams; low-volume and rapid iteration.
- **Rail & transport** — high-volume precision components to rail sector specifications, consistent across long batches.
- **Energy, oil & gas** — high-pressure valve seats, manifolds and flow-control components in duplex stainless and nickel alloys.
- **Food & beverage** — 316L food-contact components; electropolish and passivation provided.
- **Luxury goods & display**, and **industrial / general engineering** — jigs, fixtures, bespoke tooling and replacement parts.

## Machine fleet (Lye facility)
- **DN Solutions DVF 5000** — 5-axis VMC, FANUC 31i-B5, 12,000 RPM, 60-tool ATC, full B/C-axis, Renishaw RMP60 probing.
- **Doosan DNM 5700** — 4-axis VMC, 1,050mm X travel, Nikken rotary table.
- **Eagle MCV 1000** — 4-axis VMC, Siemens 840D.
- **DN Solutions Lynx 2100 LYA** — Y-axis CNC lathe with live tooling.
- **Doosan Puma GT 2600** — CNC turning centre, Ø481mm max turn, 22kW spindle.
- **DN Solutions Puma DNT 2100** — box-guideway turning centre for hard materials and heavy cuts.

## How we work
Send a drawing (PDF or CAD) and you get a costed quote back the same day during UK business
hours, with a free DFM review flagging cost drivers and tolerance risks before any tool is cut.
Mutual NDAs are standard; CAD files are held in a siloed environment and purged on completion.
